What To Witness About

Matthew 10:32: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Since you received Jesus have you told anyone about it?

1 John 1:1: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

John and the other disciples testified about what they had seen, heard, looked upon and handled. They also testified that they had fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. We are to witness about what THEY experienced but we also ought to testify about what the Lord has done to and for US PERSONALLY. Has He given you a new relationship with Him? Has He changed your life? Is His power working in you, on and through you? Has He made the Bible more important to you? Has He answered some of your prayers? Has He helped you to sin less? Has He helped you to do His will instead of your own? Has He guided you in your decisions? Has He helped you to love others as you hadn*t before? Has He protected you from expected difficulties? Has He made His love for you apparent?

And then if we are fellowshipping with other believers who share their testimony with us we can share THEIR TESTIMONY with others. (Another benefit of regularly attending a Biblical church). If you attend a church where no one speaks about what the Lord has done for them that is NOT, I repeat, that is NOT a Biblical church. You need to find a better one. We should have more to testify about than Jesus disciples wrote about.

John 20:30: And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Have you heard the testimony of someone who was able to give up drinking and stop beating his wife? Have you shared the gospel with someone who despised you, they received Christ and began to love you, the Lord and others? Have you seen changes in the lives of others who have received Christ?

Psalms 107:2: Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Matthew 5:13: Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

John 7:38: He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Ezekiel 3:18: When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
